I spent the day/round photographing Newquay Golf Club, it has some amazing views and surroundings. The weather didn't do us any favours, rain was on and off. Made for some moody looking photos none the less. The clubhouse bar served the best coronation chicken sandwich and coffee I have had in a long time, which cost me less then a tenner.
One of the biggest hurdles was simply finding my rhythm on a course I didn’t know. With golf photography, it's not just about snapping away — it's about understanding the layout, anticipating the angles, and walking ahead of where the game flows. That takes time, and when you’re unfamiliar with the routing, it can feel like a bit of a puzzle. I had to keep moving, checking maps, and making quick decisions on the fly.
Despite the challenges, it was a great day, i would happily play another round here. ⛳📸
